In Vong v Sika, Lloyd-Jones FM stated, in relation to issues with procedural fairness: "This Court unfortunately sees too many instances similar to the matters in this case [that] are inappropriately and incompetently approached by persons who parade under the banner of Human Resources specialists."

Lloyd-Jones confirmed the findings of Wilcox J in FSU v ANZ, in relation to inexperienced managers involved in the disciplinary process, saying that "...[although] the person acting on behalf of the bank may not have known that they were breaching the act, they should have known".

    Overview
    Employee management can be a difficult and time consuming process, and is an area where many organisations are needlessly exposed to risk. Employee Management - Level 1 dispels the myths surrounding employee management whilst providing attendees with the skills and knowledge to manage day-to-day performance and behavior issues with confidence. This course also caters for organisations that subscribe to EMA Consulting’s Employee Management System. Where organisations have EMS computers can be provided by EMA Consulting for the purpose of the course.

    Overview
    Absenteeism Management - Level 1 focus on the day-to-day absenteeism issues that arise in the workplace, and provides attendees with an understanding of the relevant laws governing absenteeism management. Attendees will be provided with best practice processes for assessing and managing the different types of absences that can occur with employees and then be presented with a number of case studies to apply their knowledge to.
